Sabina Feder 鈥�25 and Brianna 鈥淏ri鈥� Padilla 鈥�25 both received Hamilton鈥檚 prestigious Bristol Fellowship, which sponsors projects 鈥渂ased on strong personal interest and commitment鈥� and that 鈥渆xhibit a spirit of inquisitiveness and a seriousness of purpose.鈥�

In an email to the 娇色导航community on April 24, President Steven Tepper announced the appointment of Miriam Merrill as chief of staff and secretary to the Board of Trustees, effective July 1.

The Arbor Day Foundation recognized 娇色导航 as a 2024 Tree Campus for its dedication to enhancing community well-being through tree education, investment, and community engagement.

Quentin Messer 鈥�26 was recently awarded a Harry S. Truman Scholarship to pursue work in industrial and manufacturing policy. He becomes Hamilton鈥檚 third recipient of the prestigious award, presented to students interested in careers in public service, following Dewayne Martin 鈥�24 and Frederick Nelson 鈥�78. A world politics concentrator, Messer plans to pursue a J.D. and Master鈥檚 in Public Administration (MPA) following graduation.

Hamilton's Arthur Levitt Public Affairs Center has released a comprehensive report titled 鈥淵outh Gun Violence in Utica, New York: Causes, Context, and Prevention.鈥� This report is the culmination of the Center鈥檚 Fall 2024 Justice Lab, an interdisciplinary initiative involving 16 students across four integrated courses led by four 娇色导航faculty members.

In the world of Hollywood, the road from script to production is a long one. It starts with the development team that reads the scripts, hears the pitches, and ultimately decides whether a script has the potential to be a successful show. Then, it鈥檚 their job to get the network to see that vision. Zoe Neely 鈥�25 had the opportunity recently to step into this world.

Yuxuan Xu 鈥�26 has been named a recipient of the prestigious Barry Goldwater Scholarship, a national award that supports students intending to pursue research careers in the sciences, mathematics, and engineering. For Xu, the recognition wasn鈥檛 just a validation of his work 鈥� it was a meaningful milestone after years of dedicated effort and strong mentorship at Hamilton.

Designer and artist Bruce Mau, the co-founder and CEO of Massive Change Network, a global design consultancy in the Chicago area, will deliver Hamilton鈥檚 2025 Commencement address and receive an honorary degree on Sunday, May 25, at 10:30 a.m., in Margaret Bundy Scott Field House. A class of 568 students is expected to receive bachelor鈥檚 degrees during the Commencement ceremony.

Andrew Fredericks 鈥�25 and Charlie Haberstock 鈥�25 both received a 2025 Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, a national $40,000 grant to pursue a one-year passion project anywhere in the world. While receiving the award is a feat in and of itself, the two geosciences majors were particularly excited when they heard that the other had won. Close friends since their first year at Hamilton, the pair had supported each other throughout the Watson application process.

National and regional news organizations regularly interview 娇色导航faculty, staff, alumni, and students for their expertise and perspectives on current events, and to feature programs and activities on campus. March鈥檚 news topics included varied subjects from gambling during March Madness to a possible third term for President Donald Trump.
